Paisley rebelled against her championship show-dog family by becoming a therapy dog instead. Animal Assisted Therapy reduces depression, anxiety and blood pressure, so Paisley and Betz make a great team. Holding certifications from the American Kennel Club and Therapy Dogs International, Paisley uses her intuition and loving-kindness to comfort people through play, snuggles and sloppy kisses.

Paisley offers Animal Assisted Therapy with Betz in Farmington Hills, and at the Neighborhood Service Organization in Detroit.

Some of Paisley's best therapeutic interventions include:

  • Giving bones and teddy bears to crying clients
  • Sitting down between an arguing couple
  • Chewing through the phone cord while Betz was negotiating with Managed Care
  • Licking tears
  • Sleeping on laps
  • Being ridiculously happy

Paisley is certified as a Canine Good Citizen through theAmerican Kennel Club, and as a therapy-dog through Therapy Dogs international
