On our path of personal growth, we’re always challenging our growing edge. \u00a0The growing edge is the place where things are uncomfortable and difficult, because they are new. \u00a0Behaviors maybe, or thoughts… habits, or skills… \u00a0Usually we embrace our growing edge only after trying to ignore it and getting our asses kicked. \u00a0The shadow stuff that keeps us fearful and small and under-actualized, if\u00a0given free reign, will take every single joy and spin it into a not-good-enough moment. \u00a0After enough of these not-good-enough moments, we surrender. We realize we’re going to have to let go of the old, probably before the new is ready for us. \u00a0We’re going to have to evolve beyond the limits of who we thought we were, into the homecoming of who we’re meant to be.<\/h4>\n

It shouldn’t be hard to grow. \u00a0We’re built to do it effortlessly. \u00a0But most of us were also trained to \"hands\"<\/a>doubt, and to fear… to grasp, resist, ignore… \u00a0Our good intentions are nothing compared to our ego’s massive fondness for control and the illusion of safety. \u00a0But at such a cost!<\/h4>\n

My New Year’s wish for us all comes in a song by Melissa Etheridge, called “Heal me”. \u00a0May we all be healed. \u00a0May we all be whole. \u00a0May we all be free from suffering. \u00a0May we all be witnesses to each others\u00a0resurrections. \u00a0Happy homecoming!<\/p>\n
